Could the news be different?

The headlines that are read in the news could be different if historical events had unfolded differently. What would the news headlines say today, and what could they have said in the past, if one or more historical events had come to fruition differently?

Read on to find how surprisingly different the world could be.

What If God Had Created Three Genders Instead of Two?

At the outset we’ll admit that for humans, who were created by God, to entertain the thought of God creating any number of genders other than the two He did create, is an absurd thought. It is ridiculous to consider such a thing, because God is God and He does as He pleases; and, He did create only two genders, male and female.

Historically preserved in Scripture, the record reveals that God created two genders.

In the day that God created man, He made him in His own likeness. Male and female He created them, and He blessed them. And in the day they were created, He called them “man.”

Genesis 5:1-2

For the sake of observation, to speculate what today’s news headlines might read if God had created more than two genders; let us consider a scenario in which God, on the day that He created man, created a multitude of genders instead of just two. We’ll propose that God created thirty genders; male and female, along with 28 other genders. A number as high as thirty genders may seem way out there, but given what some today claim as the number of genders that exist (in excess of two), thirty actually fits in quite comfortably with the number of genders they hope to convince the rest of society to believe and accept as the number that exists. To keep this simple, we won’t attempt to name or define the 28 additional genders.

Before proceeding further, it will help if we draw upon a few definitions, coming from a © 1984 dictionary. Historical, universally accepted definitions can contextualize our observation with an accurate perspective.

Definitions Found in © 1984 Dictionary

Gender: Classification of sex.

Sex: The property or quality by which many living things are classified according to their reproductive functions. One of the two divisions, either male or female, of this classification.

Female: Of, or relating to, or designating the sex that produces ova or bears young.

Woman: An adult female human being.

Male: Of, relating to, or designating the sex that has organs to produce spermatozoa for fertilizing ova.

Man: An adult male human being.

These definitions seem straight forward and easy to understand. I’m willing to bet these definitions are the basis of understanding from which American school teachers described these concepts to school children over the first 400 years of our history, since the early colonial times; but this is not what we hear from some of today’s teachers, community leaders and politicians.

An interesting development is the fact that a redefining of words and concepts have played out over recent years. In the Medical News Today article titled, What Are Some Different Types Of Gender Identity?, Medical News Today claims, “Gender is different from sex. Although genetic factors typically define a person’s sex, gender refers to how they identify on the inside. Only the person themselves can determine what their gender identity is.”

In this article, Medical News Today provides their definitions for gender and sex as follows:

Gender: A person’s gender is how they identify internally and how they express this externally. People may use clothing, appearances, and behaviors to express the gender that they identify with.

Sex: A person’s sex is typically based on certain biological factors, such as their reproductive organs, genes, and hormones.

Did you catch that? Do you see what they did? They redefined gender as something entirely different than that which has been the historically understood definition and they provided a little wiggle room in their definition of sex by saying sex is “typically based on certain biological factors”. Their claim that it is typically based on biological factors leaves room for some parameters in which a person’s sex is not based on biological factors. Their redefining of both, gender and sex, changes the meaning of the entire discussion to bend the points of contention into a shape that fits the persuasion they desire.

All things being equal, with a subset of the human race choosing to redefine concepts to fit a preferred lifestyle choice; it begs the question, how many genders would this portion of our society be claiming there are today, if God had, instead of creating two genders, created three or more genders?

If God had created three or more genders, how many genders would some people be claiming there are today?

The answer? Two!

Imagine, only two?

Bonus: So why did God create only two genders?
